Selena Gomez looked gorgeous as she modeled a few bikinis from her new swimwear range for La’Mariette on Friday. The singer, 28, announced her latest project with Theresa Mingus and Morgan Brutocao as she prepares for the holiday weekend.
In a statement obtained by Page Six, Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez said it was amusing to play with swimsuits because she and her team love being outdoors so much. Speaking about her design inspirations and color choices, she says her ‘favorite color was purple’ after looking through swatches. ‘I didn’t want to use vivid colors I’m used to, like red and white,’ she says.
The bikini collection, which ranges from sizes XS to XXL, features two bikini tops, two bottoms, a one-piece, and a sarong that can also be tied as a top. From $49 to $119, these striking garments will be available on lamariette.com on Saturday.
Gomez poses for two photos in front of a white brick wall in photos posted to La’Mariette’s Instagram. She rocked her platinum blonde locks and took a dip in her pool in the campaign, shot on film. The Selena’s One-Piece swimsuit she modeled was a collaboration with La’Mariette.
This year, she showed off her kidney transplant scars in a light blue swimsuit and talked about body confidence. When I got my kidney transplant, it was hard to show my scar; she revealed it in her caption. I didn’t want it in photos, so I wore clothes that covered it up. “Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I’ve been through…, and I’m proud of that,” the Come And Get It singer said. In 2017, she underwent the procedure to treat her lupus and got the organs from her close friend Francia Raisa.
