The Joe Biden supporter, Demi Lovato debuted a blonde look when she hosted the 46th People’s Choice Awards, which aired Sunday night, wearing four dazzling outfits on stage and another red carpet look. Demi’s first look for the fan-voted ceremony was a beige plunging gown featuring silver stars and stripes selected by stylist Siena Montesano. She arrived at the PCAs wearing a red-sequin jumpsuit from designer Naeem Khan’s pre-fall 2020 collection and jewelry from Nickho Rey and Peter Marco. Hairstylist Paul Norton coiffed Lovato’s waist-length black wig for the function, and make-up artist Rokael Lizama fully contoured her appearance. When it came to her hair, hairstylist Paul explained that former musical icons inspired demi’s different appearances. “For Demi’s looks, we wanted to bring the powerful glamour of icons like Cher by creating long, flowing, and touchable hair that would empower Demi Lovato for the night,” he said. The Still Have Me songstress rocked the Beyoncé-inspired hairpiece when she wore a plunging dangerously black sequin dress for later in the show, which the singer wore with killer black platform heels. Demi also wowed audiences wearing a colorful-striped sequin mini-dress, which had an asymmetric hemline. The singer walked tall on stage with silver court shoes and ore a selection of diamond jewelry. Lovato’s final look showcased her curves in a silvery lavender plunging dress in lamé fabric while presenting awards and performers.
Lovato used her time on stage to joke about the brevity of her six-month relationship with actor Max Ehrich. Demi joked: “This year has been the longest three years of my life. It started amazing. I performed at the Grammys and sang the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, and then COVID hit and everything shut down, so I did what everyone else did. I went into lockdown and got engaged. I binged seven Pretty Little Liars seasons, got un-engaged, and left looking for aliens in the desert. So basically, the same as everyone else!” Demi and Max began quarantining together immediately, got engaged in July, and then split in September.
From thanking loyal fans to sharing what she’s was doing during quarantine and joking with Jimmy Fallon, the 2020 People’s Choice Awards host starts off the show with a bang!
