Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were spotted having fun at Universal Studios Hollywood on Friday. The 48-year-old actor and 51-year-old singer held hands at the busy theme park before hopping on some rides. Lopez brought twins Emme and Max, 13, from her marriage to Marc Anthony, and Affleck brought son Samuel, 9, from his marriage to Jennifer Garner.
The blended family looked happy and giddy as they rode the Jurassic World ride. Lopez rocked a cropped tank top and beige wide-leg pants while Affleck kept it casual in jeans, a white t-shirt, and a gray hoodie. ‘Bennifer,’ as they’re affectionately known to fans, held hands as they wound their way through the crowd.
This outing takes place just a few months after the Jenny From The Block singer called off her engagement to former baseball player Alex Rodriguez. Earlier this year, rumors spread that the Oscar-nominated actress had reunited with her ex-boyfriend. Since then, the couple has been spotted together a lot. Following their fun day at Universal Studios, the couple were spotted at an LA airport on Saturday, getting ready to leave for their 4th of July getaway.
After appearing together in 2001’s critically panned movie Gigli, the couple started dating a year after the movie’s release. Despite announcing their engagement after several years of dating, the couple called off their 2003 wedding days before it was to take place, citing media pressure as the reason. After breaking up a year later, Lopez and Affleck kept in touch for a decade. She married fellow performer Marc Anthony and welcomed her son and daughter Emme in 2008. Later on, he married his wife Jennifer Garner and welcomed daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel, aged 15, 11, and 9. Both marriages ended in divorce, the singer was in 2011, and the director was in 2018.
Lopez and Affleck recently rekindled their romance following the former’s split from her ex-fiance, from whom she separated this April over allegations that the former athlete cheated on her. Dogma actor was seen leaving his new girlfriend’s mansion in Los Angeles that same month, and the two took a trip to Montana afterward, leading to speculation that they were back together. Last month, the couple was spotted holding hands and spending time with her kids during a PDA-filled dinner at Nobu in Malibu.
The singer appeared on Thursday’s episode of Pitbull’s Globalization to talk about her new song Cambia El Paso, which hasn’t been released yet. In the sit-down, Lopez talked about the meaning of the upcoming album and encouraged her fans to change their lives. Specifically, she explained that ‘the song is about change and not being afraid to take the next step.’ The On The Floor songwriter elaborated more on her initial statement, discussing her intentions for her fans in more depth. Take the step, do what you need to do. “If something isn’t right in your life, dance,” she said. Grammy-winning hitmaker Cambia El Paso finished by explaining what the song is about and urging her fans to keep a positive attitude. It’s not what you think. I just want to dance, dance, dance, dance. You’ve got to live. You gotta be you. You’ve got to be happy. ‘That’s what the record’s about,’ she said.
